Slowing Down to Feel: Why Most Men Aren’t “Too Sensitive”
I recently joined Dr. Stephanie on Between the Sheets to talk about something I hear from men all the time: “I’m just too sensitive.”
In my experience, it’s usually the opposite. Most men aren’t too sensitive. They’re desensitized.
We live at a pace that asks the nervous system to dull itself just to cope. Add years of fast, tight-gripped self-pleasure, and the body learns to need more pressure and more speed to feel less. A man who goes from zero to ten in a heartbeat isn’t feeling too much. He’s missing levels one through nine.
For me, the way back isn’t forcing the body. It’s presence. When we slow down, breathe, and listen, the subtle becomes louder, the nervous system softens, and what once felt like tension becomes awareness. We also talked about low desire, and how it often comes from losing connection with your own body, not from a problem with your partner.

At its heart, this episode is an invitation to trade performance for awareness, and to let pleasure become something nourishing, embodied, and real.
Some key things we talk about:
Most men aren’t too sensitive. They’re desensitized.
Slowing down lets pleasure expand naturally.
Premature ejaculation is about choice and control, not the clock.
Breath, sound, and pelvic floor release help retrain sensation.
Real intimacy begins with reconnecting to your own desire.
If you’re ready to feel more and perform less, I would love for you to listen.
