Maybe you:
Push it down.
Distract yourself.
Disappear into work.
Get in your head.
Withdraw when she gets emotional.
Or tell yourself you’re fine and move on.
But closing yourself to what hurts can also closes you to pleasure, love and intimacy.
"Riding the Emotional Waves" is a guided Tantric self-pleasure practice that lets you experience three very different ways of meeting emotion in your body: Suppression, Numbing, and Sacred Containment.
You will feel for yourself what each one does to your body, your sexual energy and your heart.
You want to experience deeper emotional and sexual intimacy.
You tend to push difficult emotions down and move on.
You distract yourself or get busy when you don’t want to feel.
You have a hard time staying connected to your heart when you feel hurt, rejected, angry or frustrated.
You shut down, withdraw or get defensive when your partner gets emotional.
You want to let more of her—and life—in.
You can push an emotion down.
You can numb yourself so you don’t have to feel it.
Or you can learn to feel it without being taken over by it. I call this Sacred Containment.
This distinction—suppression, numbing and containment—is the central training throughout the practice.
You'll explore:
Bringing real emotions into your self-pleasure practice.
Feeling what suppression and numbing actually do in your body.
Staying connected to your sexual energy while emotions move through you.
Using breath, touch and sound to remain connected to your body and heart.
Meeting her emotional waves without shutting down or disappearing.
The practice moves through difficult emotion, life and relationship challenges, sexual energy and finally the feminine emotional storm.
Intimacy isn’t only about opening to her body.
It’s allowing yourself to be touched by her heart, her emotions, her truth.
And allowing her to touch yours.
When she cries, gets angry or brings something difficult to you, can you stay open instead of withdrawing, defending or going numb?
Can you let her in?
The final part of the practice specifically explores remaining open through a partner’s emotional wave rather than withdrawing or stonewalling.
